WIG CARE

High-quality synthetic wigs offer a convenient and stylish way to change your look, and they can last a long time with proper care.

Follow these care instructions to keep your high-quality synthetic wig in excellent condition:

Daily Maintenance:

  • Some wigs can be styled by simply using your finger tips or a styling comb/vented non-bristle brush.

  • Gently brush your wig with a wig brush or wide-tooth comb to remove tangles and prevent matting.

  • Avoid excessive brushing, as it can cause friction and wear down the fibers.

  • After each use for longer wigs, spray Revive Liquid Enhancement and brush through, concentrating on the neck and line area and tip of hair.

Washing:

  • Wash your synthetic wig every 10-15 wears, or as needed if it becomes soiled, sweaty, or starts to lose its style.

  • Fill a basin with cool or lukewarm water. Avoid hot water, as it can damage synthetic fibers.

  • Add a small amount of wig-specific shampoo and gently swish the wig in the water to create a soapy lather.

  • Gently agitate the wig with your fingertips, paying attention to the cap and areas that touch your scalp.

  • Rinse the wig thoroughly with cool water until all shampoo residue is gone. Do not wring or twist the wig.

Conditioning:

  • Apply a wig conditioner or leave-in conditioner specifically designed for synthetic wigs.

  • Distribute the conditioner evenly through the hair, avoiding the roots.

  • Rinse lightly with cool water or leave a small amount of conditioner in the ends for added softness.

Drying:

  • Gently pat the wig with a clean, dry towel to remove excess water. Do not rub or wring the wig.

  • Place the wig on a wig stand or mannequin head to air dry. Ensure it is not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources.

  • Never use a hairdryer, heated rollers, or other high-heat styling tools on synthetic wigs, as they can damage the fibers.

Styling:

  • Style your wig only when it's completely dry.

  • Water itself is a great styling product, wet finger tips or use a light mist spray bottle.

  • Use wig-specific styling products to set and maintain your desired style.

  • For styling, spray Shape Defining Spritz for body and light hold hairspray. You may mix this product with water and create a cocktail to work into hair.

Storage:

  • Store your wig on a wig stand or mannequin head when not in use to help maintain its shape.

  • Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, humidity, and heat sources.

Avoid:

  • Avoid or be cautious when wearing collars, scarves, or rough-textured fabrics that can cause friction and friction, leading to frizz and tangling.

  • Avoid exposure to chlorine from swimming pools, as it can damage synthetic wig fibers.

  • Be cautious around chemicals, such as hair dyes and sprays, as they can affect the color and texture of the wig.

  • Synthetic wigs are heat sensitive. High temperatures can cause fiber to frizz unless specified that it is heat friendly.

  • Do not expose your wig to excessive heat (standing near oven or BBQ grill, etc.)

  • Non-heat friendly wigs should not use any types of curling irons, blow dryers, or hot rollers. Do not use bleaches, color or any human hair products

Regular Inspection:

  • Inspect your wig periodically for any signs of wear, tear, or damage. If needed, consider professional maintenance or repairs.
